Celorico da Beira is a Portuguese village in the District of Guarda, Capital of Queijo da Serra, in the province of Beira Alta, Centro region (Beiras Region) and Beiras and Serra da Estrela sub-region, with approximately 4 600 inhabitants ( 2011)
Its urban perimeter is formed by 3 parishes (São Pedro, Santa Maria, and Casas do Soeiro).
It is the seat of a municipality with 247.22 km² in the area and 7 693 inhabitants (2011), subdivided into 16 parishes. The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Trancoso, to the northeast by Pinhel, to the southeast by Guarda, to the southwest by Gouveia, and the west by Fornos de Algodres.
The village is located 23 km from Guarda, 48 km from Viseu, and 334 km from Lisbon. It is also the northernmost municipality of Serra da Estrela and, due to the quantity and quality of Serra da Estrela cheese, it is self-named the Serra da Estrela cheese capital.
